Friday morning I received another Botox injection to my larynx. It didn't go as smoothly as some in the past, but after a long nap in the afternoon, I felt pretty well. The Spasmodic Dysphonia spasms had returned and it feels good to have them subsiding due to the injections.
I probably could sing in the Marin Headlands tunnel today, but it's too darn cold in San Francisco to be singing outside! It will probably be a couple of weeks before I try, if things go as usual. The shots cause my larynx to be "over paralyzed" for a couple of weeks and then settle down for a (hoped for) couple of months of good voice.

Hi,
I also have SD and I find though I could sing (tolerably well) before botox, I can barely force out a few notes with the botox. I'd trade talking singing for talking anyday but I do miss it a bit.
Good Luck to you in the Tunnel!
